The argument, ent for the end of post modernism see as to be simply that it is not a widely accepted movement anymore and people rarely engage in the art anymore. I would agree that because the enrollment of the internet along with the mass inflation of subcultures, especially in the arts, that there is not particularly room for any specific art movement. I would like to think movements such as Impressionism and abstract expressionism aren’t extinct. Although it seems the contrary. I think that the argument for post modernism being dead has to come with the recognition that no one specific art form has a place right now. What has been said in the physical realm of art is limitless, but it is much harder for artists to start a movement now, when it feels like so much has already been said. I think that now saying something different in the arts is much more challenging. NOT impossible. Digital art seems to have the most impact on our world at the moment. I am hoping for some sort of movement to come, post capitalism hopefully :)
