This Zine is a series representing an anonymous figure who gradually fades into a static haze. I chose the chrome bust as my subject because I want anyone to be able to see themselves in the nameless character. I wanted to represent own my personal experience with what I like to call a restless haze. A "restless haze" is a period of time in life where things pass you by and you do not feel entirely connected to the environment around you. You are in the backseat of your mind. This isn't all bad, the haze can be inspiring and beautiful. I personally find a lot of creative ideas whilst experiencing a hazy period. I am able to think about ideas rather than give full attention to the present moment. This depiction is a severely exaggerated representation of the haze. Each space this character occupies represents a hard-to-grasp emotion that passes through one when in a haze. Each section displays a period of fading into the haze. As the character goes deeper and deeper into the haze he himself fades into a static nothingness. I wanted to show the character leaving his conscious and entering his subconscious mind. This subconscious holds ideas that I try and represent visually through art.
